A 28-year-old lady, Oluchi Mba, living in

Ogidi, Idemili North Local Government Area of

Anambra State, has purportedly sold her seven-day-

old infant kid for N350,000.

Ms. Mba took the choice in an offer to fund-raise

to praise the current year’s Christmas, which is three

months away.

A source, who argued obscurity, told Southern

City News on Tuesday that the lady was bragging

about how she would have a great time filled Christmas

this, prior year she was captured.

“We were as one Sunday and she was

gloating about how she would praise the current year’s

Christmas in amazing style.

“I disclosed to her that it was too soon to get ready for

Christmas now, however she continued bragging and saying

she would need to have a ton of fun amid the season. I

didn’t know she was wanting to offer her own particular kid.

This is appalling,” the source expressed.

Mba allegedly sold the child to a 55-year-old ,

Edith Obiakor, of Akudo Street in Nkpor.

Obiakor, it was accumulated, exchanged the child to her in-

law, one Vitus Aniunoh, 50, of Patterson Street,

Fegge in Onitsha for N650,000.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Haruna

Mohammed, affirmed the occurrence to our

journalist.

He said the suspects had been captured, including that

the child had been recouped.

“Following knowledge report, police investigators

joined to Ogidi division captured one Oluchi Mba,

matured 28, of Ikenga in Ogidi.

“The speculate admitted to have sold her seven-day-

old infant, which she prior guaranteed was a stillborn,

to one Edith Obiakor, matured 55, of Akudo Street in

Nkpor for the entirety of N350,000, paid into her

account.”

Mohammed said the suspects would be charged to

court after examination.

Shocking!! 19-Year Old Boy Allegedly R*ped His Own Sister

A 19-year-old man, Andrew Chinedu, was on Tuesday remanded in prison by an Ogudu Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State for allegedly raping his two sisters aged eight and six years.

Chinedu, an apprentice, who resides in Irawo, is standing trial on a two-count charge of child defilement and sexual assault.

The prosecutor, Insp. Lucky Ihiehie told the court that the accused committed the offences between the months of June 2018 and Sept. 2018 at Abayomi Street, Irawo in Ajegunle area of Ikorodu in Lagos State, NAN reports.

The prosecutor said that the Lagos State Domestic and Social Violence Office, which initially handled the case and confirmed the violation of the girls, referred the father to report the case to the police.

Ihiehie said that the accused lived in the same compound with the parents of the girls.

According to him, when the older of the siblings was questioned, she claimed that the accused normally calls her into his room when her parents were not around to have sex with her.

“Any time I refused, he would beat me. He normally promises to buy me sweet but he never did,” Ihiehie quoted the child as saying.

The prosecutor also said that the six-year-old girl corroborated what her sister said and told the police that the accused always had sex with her whenever their parents were not around and beats them.

” He would tell her he wants to show her something and carry her to his bed and remove her cloths.

“She said it was when her elder sister fell sick and their father took them to the hospital that she opened up to him.”

Ihiehie said that the offences contravened Sections 137 and 259 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

He, therefore, asked the court to remand the accused in prison pending the receipt of legal advice from the DPP’s office.

The Magistrate, Mrs E. Kubeinje, while ruling, asked that Chinedu be remanded in prison.

Magistrate Kubeinje instructed that Chinedu should spend the next 65 days in prison pending the receipt of legal advice from the State Director of Public Prosecutions (DPPs).

The case was then adjourned until March 20 for mention.
