President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday, took a swipe at former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, saying he only wants a second term and no more.

Buhari expressed this while tending to traditional rulers in Akure, the Ondo state capital, under the umbrella of the Ondo State Council of Obas.

The president said previously, individuals have looked for more terms in office, in spite of the arrangements of the Constitution.

“We have quite recently completed one term and are looking for a second one, and from that point forward, the Constitution doesn’t allow any more.

“There are some who had a go at searching for all the more yet they didn’t succeed,” he was cited as saying in a tweet by Tolu Ogunlesi, who handles Digital Communication for the Presidency.

Obasanjo endeavored to remain in office past his second term in 2007.

A bill was supported at the National Assembly to broaden term restrains by an additional four years, however the legislators did not endorse it.
