Wizkid Bags Another Award At The 2020 Soul Train Awards With “Brown Skin Girl’
Veteran Nigerian singer-songwriter and Starboy boss, Ayodeji Balogun aka Wizkid has won yet another Soul Train Award with his appearance on ‘Brown Skin Girl‘ by Beyonce.
Having been nominated four times in the space of 4 years and winning in the ‘The Ashford & Simpson Songwriter’s Award’ category last year with ‘Brown Skin Girl’, Wizkid has now won another award this year with the same song but another category.
‘Brown Skin Girl’ by Beyonce, Blue Ivy, Saint JHN & Wizkid beat ‘Do It’ by Chloe X Halle, ‘Good As Hell’ by Lizzo and ‘Go Crazy’ by Chris Brown and Young Thug to the ‘Video of the Year’ award.
Wizkid has now won 2 awards out of 4 nominations in the Soul Train Awards, the most of any Nigerian and both came with Brown Skin Girl. The same video has also been nominated in the Grammy Awards 2021 in the ‘Best Music Video’ category. Congratulations Wizkid!
