“AFCON 2021 will be my last for Nigeria” — Ahmed Musa reveals

Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, has announced that the ongoing 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon would be his last for Nigeria.

The 29-year-old professional footballer made this disclosure during the pre-match conference for Nigeria’s first game against Egypt.

He however noted that he is not retiring from international football yet as the 2022 World Cup is around the corner.

“I didn’t say I will retire from international football after this AFCON, but this will be my last AFCON, and we still have the World Cup that I will go.”

Musa has been a regular player for the Super Eagles team since he joined in September 2010. The ongoing Nations Cup would be his third.

In other news, Super Eagles star, Victor Osimhen has revealed he cleaned gutters and did other menial jobs to survive before venturing into professional football.

The 22-year-old Napoli star shared his grass to grace story while speaking with Head Topics recently.
