Rema Walks Off Stage At J. Cole Dreamville Festival Over Sound Issues

Nigerian music star, Divine “Rema” Ikubor caused a stir on Sunday when he walked off the stage during his performance at the 2024 Dreamville Festival in North Carolina.

He was performing ‘Calm Down’ to a large crowd of fans when he sudden stopped midway complain about the poor sound before walking out.

It was Day 2 of the festival holding at Dix Park in Raleigh, and the sound issue frustrated Rema so much that he advocated for the same sound quality for African artistes as their Western counterparts on international stages.

The 23-year-old artiste said; “Hold on, there are too many sound issues. It’s messing up my whole performance. I’m seriously not feeling this sh*t.

“I’m representing Africa, this is too messed up. If the sound cannot be perfect for every artiste that get on this stage… Africa is in the house and you are messing sh*t up?”

The Dreamville Festival was created by American hip-hop superstar, J. Cole, The annual event celebrates music, culture, and creativity, drawing artists and fans from around the world.
